I would give it negative stars if I could. I lost my job earlier in the winter and found myself homeless; I just recently got back to work and had been staying in my car at the park and ride off and on since it was close to my new job, without any problems and I usually parked in the back corner to be out of the way. Yesterday, I walked back to my car on my one hour lunch break to make a PB&J sandwich because I hadn't eaten all day and my car was gone. I went into Walmart to talk to the manager about it and I was told it was the DOT that handled it, then I called the DOT who said it was Walmart that dealt with towings and told me who they used. I called the towing company who said I could walk halfway across the city and pay them $75 to get my car back, then I called Walmart and asked for the store manager, who proceeded to very condescendingly and repeatedly tell me that I was warned to move my car (which I never was and easily could've and would've since I'm broke and it's my home) and then said that she told me to move it. I told her that she owed me the $75 tow fee for having my vehicle/home towed off on me because I was never warned I'd be towed and she laughed, I started getting upset and said I'd get a lawyer, to which she just hung up. Later, after work slowed down, I asked my boss if I could make an important phone call, which he let me, and I called Walmart corporate, who took my story and called the Walmart to talk to the manager, they wound up telling me that there was nothing that they could do since it was a store level thing, but they reported my incident with "Sarah" (I didn't know her name until then) to the store co-manager "Sarah" (same one) and she said I could call the cops (which lead to nothing). It was below freezing and Walmart had my only source of shelter and my whole life (clothes, identification, medication, a splint I wear so I can sleep without pain, everything) towed away from me not a half an hour after I left my car for work. Fortunately, I had my phone and I called an estranged relative who took pity on me because I might have frozen to death and is letting me stay at their house tonight (it's 3 am as of writing this and I'm too angry and in too much pain to sleep). Later today, I have to try and figure out a way to get my car back (pull $75 out of thin air), get to a long-awaited appointment with a surgeon, and then get to work in all different parts of the city with no clean clothes or toiletries to boot. Thanks for almost killing me and giving my already upside-down life a shake, Bangor Walmart, I already hated you for various minor reasons, but now I'm completely done with you, that alone will cost a lot more than $75. Oh, and as of now, I'm never shopping at Walmart or Sam's Club ever again, this isn't the first time they've burnt me, but it'll be the last. I hope that co-manager Sarah learns what it's like to lose her shelter, food, and sense of security in the middle of a freezing cold city at night with no money whatsoever, because then I can laugh at her (even if I'm not the one to directly cause it). UPDATE: I got someone to loan me the money to get my car back, cost $145 for "two days storage" even though the car was impounded for less than 24 hours. Also, Walmart claims I was parked there for over two weeks when it was just under five days (which I see RVs and other cars there longer all the time) and I can't push any legal action against them for having my car stolen from me without warning from a place I was told I could park because it was "legal" for them to do so. I hate them, half of my first pay check is going to pay back a loan because some rotten c*** was bothered by my clean, unassuming car (other than at night when I put up window shades) enough to strand me in the street with nothing but my phone and the clothes on my back.

At the customer service desk had a very rude cashier. Another employee who heard her actually apologized. The rest of employees I interacted with were pleasant. This visit started around 2 PM on a Friday. It took several minutes to find parking. Store was very crowded. Many items in grocery section not on shelves. It looks like half of registrars have been changed to self checkout. I noticed I was able to move through a reg checkout faster than those at the self.

Waited 30 minutes out front of the grocery door. Only to go in and ask where my order was to be told to drive to the side of the building for pickup when clearly the sign out front said grocery pickup... Associate John was a very amazing guy though in the Stillwater ave Bangor Maine store So I suppose my 2nd trip will go off without a hitch. I liked the delivery and loading of groceries...
